Villa Gella

Young historians will be in their element at Villa Gella, which sits high up in the Rhodope Mountains, the home of the legendary Orpheus.

Further educational pursuits include visits to caves where signs of early civilisation have been discovered, while trips to the surrounding mountains and villages around can be made by bike or on horseback. The villa is fully serviced with a resident chef and housekeeper, and features an indoor pool, steam room and jacuzzi.

Prices for seven nights start from £7,200, based on 12 people sharing, half-board, including a chef and some wines. For details, visit
