Pyjamas - an essential part of Christmas

Christmas time in a pair of comfy pyjamas, with a bathrobe & slippers is what those traditional Christmas memories are all about. We just love those romantic images, of little one’s reading books in front of the log fire. While we can’t turn back time (and, to be honest, we rather love our technology…) we can evoke our favourite memories with pyjamas on, a hot drink and family time in front of the TV. We’ve picked our favourite 11 luxury designer sets for boys this Christmas season.

The Rocket Pyjamas

Junior Design Award winner and Junior fashion favourite, Rachel Riley, combines classic styles with cute details. This Christmas these 100% cotton, traditional style pyjamas will send them on their way (to bed, or space) in style. The rocket print adds a fun tone, complemented by the red piping trim and buttons.

Rachel Riley Rocket Pyjamas, Age 3-14, £69,

The Coolest Pyjamas in Town

Possibly the ultimate in awesome designer pyjamas, these 100% cotton cowboy pyjamas are the most fun we’ve seen all year. The sheriff style prints continue on the back - because you know a sheriff needs to look like a sheriff as he walks away, too. The cowboy boot print on the legs is the icing on the cake. If you also have a daughter, take a look at the Stella McCartney cowgirl set... They will go nicely with this set! Gorgeous.

Stella McCartney Blue Louie Pyjamas, Age 2-14, £69,

The Classic Flannel Pyjamas

Every child should have at least one pair of flannel pyjamas in their wardrobe. The cocoon-like warmth that wraps you up every time you step into them… The White Company take their flannel very seriously and these pyjamas are brushed three times for the ultimate in cosy bedtime wear. This London Print is adorable, although only available up to age 6. They do a lovely red gingham print for older boys up to 12.

Little White Company, London Flannel, Age 1-6, £26,

Mix and Match Luxury

When they approach those preteen boys can be notoriously difficult to please. The Homebody collection is perfect for those who are fussy (or particularly selective, if you prefer!). The collection is suitable from 4yrs - 16yrs and features a long sleeved top, short sleeved top and both long and short bottoms, all made from modal. So no matter what mood they are in, they’ll be happy.

Homebody at Harrods, Tee Top, £99.95, 4-16, Bottoms, £120, all available from

The Sailor Set

Cyberjammies - the nightwear brand loved by celebs and comfort-seekers alike, has a fun range of Minijammies for children. As well as their gorgeous grey sailboat cotton and modal set, there are a plethora of colours and styles - including the contemporary thermaknit style for extra warmth. (Yes, we love them so much we included two sets!)

Sail Away Thermaknit & Brushed set (below left) and Sail Away Woven Long sleeve (below right), £22.50, age 4-13, , both

The Contemporary Car Print

Kids love cars. Whether it’s Lego, Scalextric, go karts, quads, or sports cars, there’s a car for everyone to love. We are particular fans of this car print design from Molo, as it's luxurious, while feeling quite grown up, for those ready to move on from Lightning McQueen and his pals! Super cool prints - and there’s a matching bathrobe, too. Perfect present material.

Molo Teinar Car Print Pyjamas, Age 2-14, £84.95,

The Timeless Print

This subtle design of alpine trees and skiers will work well for holidays, weekends at the grandparent’s or for packing off in their trunk for boarding school. It’s practical and it's a design full of class. What more does a boy need in a set of pyjamas? This is a truly timeless print for any age.

Derek Rose Alpine Print, Age 5-12, £74.95,

Technical Winter Warmers

Isbjörn of Sweden is one of the hottest outdoor clothing retailers around. Their philosophy on the very best quality outdoor clothing for children is matched by their eco-credentials. We predict great things for this brand… And, while their base layers are not technically pyjamas, they are made from a breathable merino wool mix, for warmth, cosiness and stunning ethical style. Base layer sweater & leggings available separately.

Husky Base Layer Top and Long John Legs, ££34.94 each, available separately from

The Bear Print Pyjamas

Not only is the bear print thoroughly on-trend with its animal print and monochrome feel, it’s unisex too, which we love. And if wearing polar bears isn’t already enough, they’ll feel like one, as they wear this super cosy, soft, 100%cotton set. Christmas pyjamas without red & green, too? Very refreshing. Our favourite ever bear print.

Little Blue House by Hatley, Age 2-13, £24,

Paul Smith Stripes

It’s always good to see pyjamas for boys in a colour other than blue. We love the Paul Smith signature stripe design on these pyjama bottoms and the New York beat print makes us feel so hipster cool (while wearing fabulous designer style). It’s a win win.

Paul Smith New York Beat Pyjamas, Age 2-14, £75,

The Vintage Ski Print

We’re already dreaming of ski season and this fun Hatley pyjama set makes us think of log fires and après ski. The vintage holiday print of bears, skis and bobble hats is fun for little ones and preteens alike. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Hatley Vintage Ski Pyjamas, Age 2-12, £22,

Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Cheers Visit this link
