Junior spent a delicious evening sampling the new chocolate ranges at the luxurious Hotel Chocolat

We can always find an excuse to eat chocolate and last night we happily discovered that Hotel Chocolat founder Angus Thirlwell eats it religiously every day. Spurred on by this heroic effort, we tucked in to the fantastic new products on offer at the luxury chocolatier's One New Change store.
For children, there is range featuring a pink prima ballerina called Twinkle Toes and a blue robot called the Nibblatron as well as a rather fabulous Sleepover Kit (£25) - which we took a particular shining to. Including liquid chocolate and a chunky slab, this would make a delightful present for any chocolate fiend.
For Easter this year, Hotel Chocolat is presenting chocolate versions in egg boxes, as 'dippy egg and soldiers' and as 'eggy bread'. These playful ideas are delicious conversation starters.
For the ultimate in indulgence we can personally recommend the Ostrich Egg (£65) which consists of two enormous shells cast in 70% dark chocolate, with added crunchy almond slivers. We also loved the Sleekster Easter Egg Box (£20) A 'cracking' collection of mini eggs filled with silky smooth pralines, truffles with blueberry, amaretto and warming whisky, strawberry, liquid caramel and much more.
