A preview of the opening of the brand-new Designers Guild Homestore in Marylebone

 1 of 5

On a bright and breezy morning, Marylebone High Street is already abuzz with activity as guests arrive for the opening of the brand new Designers Guild Homestore. Brimming with vibrant colours, flamboyant fabrics in vivid hues and textures, the store is a visual treat for the eyes, with gorgeously upholstered chairs, row upon row of sumptous fabrics and wallpapers, nicknacks and desirables for the modern family home. Tucked away downstairs is a tiny alcove entirely devoted to children, a veritable Aladdin's cave, with gorgeous little suitcases, notebooks, divine pyjamas, soft toys and a bed that looks perfect for bouncing on! We congratulated Tricia on the lovely location and wonderful children's offering that would happily grace any child's room. “Let's just hope they don't wreck it!” says Tricia, referring to the very hands-on nature of the displays. With items that are so wantable – and a bed that looks oh-so-bounceable – that might be a big ask!

The new Designers Guild Homestore is at 76 Marylebone High Street, London W1;
